Stepping Stones to a Successful Life Foundation is dedicated to ending homelessness and empowering persons served by providing housing support, education, job skill readiness and innovative programs designed to achieve self-sufficiency.
Stepping Stones to a Successful Life Foundation’s vision is to continually assist persons with mental and/or substance use disorders who experience homelessness through a holistic approach by providing safe, sober housing, and needed resources.

We provide those that are apart of our organization with budgeting and banking skills so that they will be able to live independently.

We offer resume writing services to the members of our organization to assist with employment opportunities.

OUR STORY
STEPPING STONES TO A SUCCESSFUL LIFE FOUNDATION
is a non-profit 501(c)(3) located in Baltimore City that provides housing programs that teach independent living skills, and connect to much needed community resources to the often neglected members of our community including the mentally ill, substance users and ex-offenders.
We have responded to the needs of our community by offering recovery oriented behavioral health and wellness services as well as outreach and case management.
Persons in the program will live in a fully staffed, fully furnished, structured community living setting. This supervised setting supports responsibility through peer-to-peer accountability and staff supervision.
Each house is staffed around the clock, daily with Residential Managers, offering structure where residents are able to learn important life skills needed to lead to independent living and self-sufficiency. Residents are engaged in life coaching with certified professionals, nutrition and cooking education, hygiene skills, organizational and daily living skills to be able to keep a clean, well maintained living environment. Family engagement and visitation is encouraged.
This structured community living environment offers residents the support and care needed while working on their substance abuse, behavioral and emotional issues.
We offer innovative programs and training resources to promote the employment, economic self-sufficiency and independence of individuals served. Through our vocational program, residents begin with identifying attainable and achievable life goals, attaining achievable positive results such as career training enrollment, career counseling, identifying new job or career goals, creating a personalized plan to lead to a fulfilling and productive lifestyle.Persons served will learn training skills such as; resume writing, mock job interview techniques, professional strengths and weaknesses, appropriate workplace attire and communication skills, relationship building, workplace problem solving, educational\vocational integration.

Whether persons served are looking to launch their first career, change career directions, or advance current learned skills, we will find the most relevant and up-to-date training through partnerships with various community resources. Persons served are able to attend GED courses, continuing education classes, workforce training classes, career and technical training, on-site computer skills training, food service training classes, and much more..

Stepping Stones To A Successful Life Foundation saw a need for stable housing for those persons suffering from mental health and substance abuse.Our mission makes a difference, over 75% of persons served are housed and have a successful outcome of sober living, semi-independent living and employment within a 12 month period.




The programs and activities WE OFFER are uniquely designed to assist with regaining effective impulse control, improve self-esteem, and acquire skills necessary for daily independent living such a nutrition, personal grooming and strategies to prevent recurrence of addictive symptoms. Voluntary workshops feature money management, occupational preparation and cultural/community integration.
